Steri Tours is a love story
to Kenya
Hello, I’m Phoebe, and I’m so happy to meet you! I started Steri Tours in 2020 with a dream to redefine travel to Kenya, transforming it into a force for positive change and genuine human connection.
During many years in the development and humanitarian sectors, I traveled extensively and interacted with communities across my country. I saw the extreme differences in quality of life between popular tourist destinations and local communities.
This deeply affected me. How was it that tourist locations were thriving, while locals saw hardly any benefit? How could tourism encourage a symbiotic relationship that benefited both visitors and residents?
Right then I decided to create Steri Tours. Not just as a travel company, but as a way to enrich and give back to Kenya, by encouraging cultural celebration, economic empowerment, and preservation.
Myself and my team have one broad wish: to connect people, inspire cultural exchange, make an impact, and create opportunities for local communities through sustainable tourism and unique experiences.

I grew up surrounded by Kenya’s diverse landscapes and vibrant cultures. All agree that the country’s beauty and variation is captivating. From peaceful coastlines and unique fauna, to incomparable gastronomy and our culturally-rich communities.
My travels across the country have given me a deep respect for nature, our people… and a commitment to sharing what makes Kenya so special.

With over 15 years in social impact and travel, focusing on women's empowerment and children's education, her ethical tourism focus shines through in her leadership.
Always with a smile, Phoebe is a big fan of slow travel, appreciating the small things, and making the best out of every situation.
