Lake Side Epic Cultural and Safari Adventure

 As you arrive after a long flight, our enthusiastic guide will be waiting to greet you at the airport. With a warm welcome, he will extend heartfelt greetings and welcome you  to the country and accompany you to the Westwood hotel  for a restful night. Relish a delightful dinner at the hotel, where you can relax and enjoy delicious cuisine in comfort.  

After a hearty lunch in Westwood our bubbly guide and driver will transfer you to Nairobi National Park for a morning game drive up until 10am .Head to david sheldrick wildlife trust, Pioneers in the rescue and hand-raising of orphaned baby elephants and rhinos, through to their reintegration to the wild when grown.Depart david sheldrick at 12 noon  and head straight to Wilson Airport for a flight to Kisumu County .Flight to Rusinga Island will take 40 minutes landing  at Homabay airstrip where our lake side cheerful driver will be waiting to pick you up ready for a Scrumptious lunch at Homabay Tourist hotel and later a drive to the lake shore at Mbita where there will be a boat transfer to Rusinga Island Lodge.The boat ride will take about 1 hr arriving at around 3 pm.Relax and rejuvenate as u  enjoy the hotel amenities waiting  for a restful night and dinner.

After a hearty breakfast at 7:00am-9:00am you will take a boat ride to mfangano island arriving at around 10:am.Enjoy full day excursion with picnic lunch and visit the bird island offering a lifetime experience where you will see and experience one of the most  important breeding sites for water birds on Lake Victoria.Today you will also learn and enjoy rock painting with the locals as you enjoy their cultural stories and their way of life .Later you will head for fishing with the local crew who are experienced in search of the  enormous  Nile perch and Tilapia along the shores and in the shallow waters of Lake Victoria .The  fish will make delicious  meal and the local chefs will be waiting for you to cook together your catch of the  day . At around 6 pm take a boat ride back to rusinga island lodge for dinner and overnight.

 Today you will have packed breakfast and leave the lodge by speedboat at 6.30am. Take a  40-minute calm boat ride on  the lake and meet Rusinga island cheerful driver at the lake shore for the short 30-minute drive to the Ruma National  park. En route you’ll see typical Luo homesteads. After exploring the  park and its inhabitants enjoy a hearty bush breakfast before heading  to Kisumu a 5 hr journey arriving in time for a traditional meal at around 2:00pm in dunga beach at lake victoria kisumu .Enjoy fish and ugali delicacy fresh from the lake with the beautiful lake views.Later head for a boat ride in search of hippos offering  a great bird viewing opportunity for different bird species including the Fish Eagle. Depart for Ciala resort which is 1 hr away arriving at 6:00pm.  Take a guided evening walk from the hotel.Enjoy and feel the thrill and pleasure as you watch the scarlet sun as it sets. Interact with the locals as you get to watch the breath-taking view of Maragoli Hills.Head back to Ciala resort relax and unwind as you wait for  dinner and restful night .  

Today after an early breakfast at 7:00am spend the day skirting through the core of
Kisumu City. Navigate through vast Kondele Estate into Kibuye market, one of the largest street markets in East Africa.Interact with the locals as buy  souvenirs. In the market you will have an opportunity for a basket weaving short course with the local traders.Later head to  Impala Sanctuary which will offer you an opportunity to deeply bond with nature as you sit relaxed at the shores of the second largest freshwater lake in the world.Later in the evening around 4 pm head back to Ciala resort for overnight and dinner.

 Today after a heavy  breakfast check out of the hotel then you will be transferred to  the airstrip to catch your flight back to Nairobi. Take flexibility of your flight schedule for a leisurely lunch or shopping.
